Skin “whitening” in my opinion is a sham, and most products just temporarily give a whitish cast. I doubt this one would be any different
I second that, cuz it’s true in most cases. But some creams do work very well against pigmentation and help in giving clearer, and thereby visibly fairer skin. (I ended up sounding like an ad commercial for them!)

What is the fascination with whitening cream? Just a question out of curiosity.
To say something like “Fair is beautiful in India” would be wrong, because not everyone thinks so. But we do have a widespread fascination and longing for fair skin tones here, and hence this market overflowing with whitening creams. However, it’s not just about fairness anymore, but also about reducing dark spots, pigmentation and de-tan action (the sun here is harsh).
